Sleep Disorders and Symptoms

Research shows that an adequate amount of quality sleep is essential for overall good health. Following is a list of common sleep disorders and their symptoms that the St. Mark’s Sleep Center treat.

Obstructive Sleep Apnea Syndrome

  • loud or irregular snoring
  • excessive daytime sleepiness
  • repeated nightly awakenings
  • nightly periodic absent breathing
  • non–refreshing sleep
  • morning headache

Periodic Limb Movements

  • excessive daytime sleepiness
  • non–refreshing sleep
  • nightly leg jerks
