Salt Lake City, UT — St. Mark’s Hospital achieved the highest possible grade of ‘A’, from the Leapfrog Group, a watchdog for hospital safety, for the third consecutive reporting period. The Leapfrog Group recognizes emphasis on quality care and patient safety. Following St. Mark’s tradition of caring for our community for over 145 years, this award is an honor for the community they serve as well as the hospital itself.
“We recognize the healthcare choices the community has here in Utah,” said Nicki Roderman of St. Mark’s Hospital. “This award really highlights the commitment to patient safety that our St. Mark’s team shows to each individual patient.”
Leapfrog Group is founded on the premise that not all hospitals are alike. Just like good doctors, great hospitals invest in their patients. St. Mark’s patient centered focus is a hallmark of the hospital culture and a benchmark for the ‘A’ grade awarded by Leapfrog. Because of their unwavering conviction to provide superior care and have a positive impact on the community, the standard remains high and the focus is first and foremost on the patients.
Leah Binder, president and CEO of the Leapfrog Group stated, “Hospitals don’t all have the same track record, so it really matters which hospital people choose, which is the purpose of our Hospital Safety Grade.”
St. Mark’s choice to place an emphasis on patient care and safety is reflected in this award and the many other accolades they have been granted. For a list of other awards received as well as services offered at St. Mark’s Hospital please visit stmarkshospital.com.
