St. Mark's Hospital - November 01, 2016

The St. Mark’s Hospital Education Department invites medical staff to participate in American Heart Association (AHA) online courses and hand-on skills verification sessions. Prerequisite AHA didactic learning modules (HeartCode) must be completed prior to registration for skills sessions, and documentation of course completion must be submitted at the time of the skills session.

HeartCode ACLS Prerequisite Course

Click here to complete the online HeartCode ACLS prerequisite course. The online course fee is $132.00, and completion time is approximately 6.5 hours. CME credits are offered. Skills sessions take 2 hours and include BLS, airway management, review of crash cart/defibrillator and megacode. Register online here. Completion of both the prerequisite online course and the skills session is required to receive a 2-year AHA ACLS completion card.

HeartCode BLS Prerequisite Course

Click here to complete online HeartCode BLS prerequisite course. The online course fee is $28.50. Completion time is approximately 2 hours. CME credits are offered. A BLS instructor is available every Friday from 10:00 am-12 noon in our CPR skills lab, located on the 4th floor of the Women’s Pavilion. No prior registration is necessary for BLS skills sessions. Completion of both the prerequisite online course and the skills session is required to receive a 2-year AHA BLS completion card.
