St. Mark's Hospital - November 01, 2016

Blue Sky Telehealth is scheduled to begin providing tele-stroke services to the Taylorsville Emergency Center on December 5, 2016, using the InTouch Telehealth robot. This will allow more rapid assessment of our suspected stroke population presenting to this facility. This new service will allow the facility to apply for Stroke Receiving Facility designation by the State of Utah. This application will be forthcoming.

Once approved, this designation will allow our emergency medical services (EMS) teams to direct patients with suspected stroke to the Taylorville facility. Prior to receiving this designation, patients presenting with stroke symptoms to the Taylorsville Emergency Center will receive a medical screening examination for an emergency condition and be treated or triaged accordingly.
