Urology
Dr Gange graduated from the UCLA School of Medicine in 1986 and then completed Urology training at the University of Kentucky in 1991. He entered the US Army as a urologist, fulfilling an ROTC obligation, and was twice awarded the military medal of meritorious service. He joined Western Urological Clinic in Salt Lake City, UT, in 1996, and has developed particular expertise in BPH, stone disease, and all stages of prostate cancer management, emphasizing minimally invasive procedures and compassionate care. He is active as a clinical investigator and was the first urologist in North America to perform the Neotract UroLift for BPH and the first in the world to perform this procedure under local anesthesia; he was also the first urologist in his region of the country to become trained and perform HIFU for prostate cancer. He is the founder and President of the Utah Healthy Living Foundation, a CME-accredited 501c3 dedicated to improving quality of life through health education and screenings. He has held numerous other leadership positions including President of the Utah Urological Society, Chair of the Utah Cancer Action Network, Chief of Surgery at St. Mark's Hospital, and member of the Practice Management Committee for the American Urological Association. He has been listed in Top Doctors in America, voted there by his peers. He regularly lectures to physicians and lay groups on all aspects of urology and was instrumental in the creation of the Urology section of WebMD.
