The St. Mark’s Hospital Postgraduate Year One (PGY1) Pharmacy Residency Program will build upon the Doctor of Pharmacy education and outcomes to contribute to the development of a clinical pharmacist responsible for medication-related care of patients with a wide range of conditions. The resident will develop knowledge and skills in direct patient care with experiences in the acute care setting, teaching, and research. It is the ultimate goal of the program for the graduate to be successful in multiple environments or be able to build upon the foundation with enrollment into advanced training programs (e.g. board certification or PGY2 training).
