Neonatologists are doctors who specialize in caring for infants that are born too early or with medical complications. It is reassuring to know that should your newborn need specialized care, our board-certified team of neonatology physicians is available 24 hours a day.

Beyond neonatologists, our NICU is staffed with nurses who monitor our baby patients 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Respiratory therapists, developmental specialists, and dieticians also play a huge part in caring for your baby. Our NICU staff will welcome you whenever you come to visit your baby – or babies! We will gladly answer your questions and discuss you baby’s care with you and your physician.

The 32-bed NICU at St. Mark’s Hospital is a Level III Unit. This means that we have both the expertise and state-of-the-art technology to deliver excellent care to newborns as young as 24 weeks gestation age.
